MICHELE Watch Collections at SVS

Each MICHELE collection has its own character: the square Deco that defined the brand, the softer oval Serein, the sporty Deco Sport. They share one idea, the interchangeable band, so a single watch moves from metal bracelet to leather to silicone in seconds. Diamond models are set with natural diamonds, and gold-tone cases are 18K gold-plated over stainless steel.

One watch, several looks. We stock MICHELE 16mm and 18mm bands in black, glossy white and chocolate brown croco-embossed leather from $100, plus a double-wrap leather band for Apple Watch. Bands swap without tools, and we fit them in the showroom. MICHELE collections rotate seasonally, so call (516) 766-2614 to check a specific model.

Three Generations of Watchmaking

MICHELE's story begins in 1940s Belgium with Maurice Barouh, a master watchmaker who passed his craft to his son Jack. Jack worked in the watch and diamond trade in Latin America before founding MICHELE in 1995 and naming it for his daughter. The brand started as a line of colorful children's watches, moved to Miami as it grew into women's timepieces, and in 2000 launched the Deco, the square case that still defines it.

MICHELE operates under Tempus International Corp., the company Jack Barouh founded, which Fossil Group acquired in 2004. Michele Barouh joined the family business in 2000 and serves as Creative Director. The brand is built on one principle: designed exclusively for women, with proportions, weights and dial sizes engineered for the female wrist.

Case size and band fit are hard to judge on a screen. In our 4,000+ sq ft Oceanside showroom you can try the Mid against the Mini, swap bands until the look is right, and leave with the links already sized. What happens after the purchase is the bigger difference: our in-house watchmaker, Tony T., handles battery replacement (often same day), link sizing, band swaps and clasp fitting on site. For warranty work and full movement service we coordinate directly with MICHELE for you. We service MICHELE watches bought elsewhere too.
