Pearl Restringing in Oceanside, NY
Hand-Knotted on Silk — Oceanside, NY
A pearl strand is one of the most sentimental pieces in a jewelry box — often passed down through generations, often the gift that marked the most meaningful moment. At SVS Fine Jewelry, our master stringer treats every strand that crosses our bench with the same care it deserved the day it was first given.
We restring pearls on pure silk thread — the traditional choice that flows beautifully across the neckline — and we hand-knot between every pearl. Knots prevent pearls from rubbing against each other, and if the strand were ever to break, only one pearl could be lost. It is the proper way, the only way, and the way we have done it since 2003.

SVS Fine Jewelry serves pearl restringing clients from across Long Island — Oceanside, Long Beach, Rockville Centre, Lynbrook, Island Park, Merrick, Garden City, and Nassau County — as well as families traveling from New York City and beyond. We restring cultured, freshwater, Akoya, Tahitian, South Sea, and antique pearl strands with the same craftsmanship and care, regardless of where the pearls were originally purchased.
Most strands should be restrung every one to two years depending on how often they are worn. If yours have not been restrung in a while — or if the silk is showing signs of stretching or yellowing — it is time to bring them in.
