What should I engrave on a men's piece?

How do I figure out his ring size without him noticing?

Bring in a ring he already wears on the same finger (a class ring, signet ring, or older band) and we'll size from it on the spot. Or call us at (516) 766-2614 and we'll walk you through measuring from a ring on his nightstand. Resizing after the purchase is free and in-house, so if it doesn't fit perfectly, bring it back.

Can you design a custom money clip, signet ring, or anniversary band?

Yes — that's our Forever Custom Design service. Riley S. (Jewelry Specialist · Engraving & CAD-CAM) and Jorge T. (Master Bench Jeweler) collaborate in-house on custom money clips, signet rings with family crests, anniversary bands, and engraved cufflinks. Most custom pieces complete in 4–8 weeks.

Do you service watches purchased somewhere else?

Yes — this is one of our most popular services. Tony T., our In-House Watchmaker, services Raymond Weil, G-Shock, and Rolex pieces purchased at SVS, plus Tudor, Omega, TAG Heuer, Cartier, and most other luxury watch brands purchased anywhere. Battery replacement to full mechanical restoration. Walk in, drop off, pick up.

Should I surprise him, or bring him in?

Both work, and we'll help with either. For sentimental pieces (engraved money clips, watches that match his style, anniversary bands), the surprise route works beautifully. For pieces he'll wear daily (rings, statement bracelets, watches with strong personal preferences), bringing him in for a private consultation usually lands a piece he loves more. When should I order to make sure it arrives in time for his birthday or anniversary?

For free nationwide shipping (orders $75+), order at least the Monday before the date. For Nassau County, same-day local delivery is $25 flat-rate with a 3pm cutoff. Same-day curbside pickup at our Oceanside showroom is free with a 3pm cutoff. Engraved or custom pieces require additional lead time — call (516) 766-2614 if your date is tight.

Do you offer financing for larger purchases?

Yes — we offer showroom financing through our financing partners for qualifying purchases. It's a quick application that lets you split watches, anniversary bands, and custom pieces over time. Or ask any sales associate when you visit our Oceanside showroom.

Does it come with gift packaging?

Every order arrives in signature SVS packaging — boxed, ribboned, and ready for the moment. Complimentary in-store and online.

Can I return or exchange if he doesn't love it?

Yes — within 14 days. Full refund on in-stock purchases returned unworn, in original packaging, with tags attached. Engraved, personalized, and custom pieces are final sale, so for those we recommend a consultation first — or gifting the piece and adding engraving later.

Do I need an appointment, or can I walk in?

Both work. Walk in any time during showroom hours to browse, or book online for a focused, consultative conversation — especially helpful if you have a specific budget, occasion, or style in mind.
