A 50% deposit reserves your piece. Once the deposit is placed, the item is removed from our sales floor and held safely in our store under your name until the balance is paid in full.

How long do I have to pay off a lay-away?

You have up to six months to pay the remaining balance. There is no fixed payment schedule, so you can pay at whatever pace works for you within that window. Many clients time their final payment to a proposal, anniversary, or holiday.

Can I put an engagement ring on lay-away?

Yes. Engagement rings are one of the most common lay-away pieces at SVS. Reserve the ring you want with a 50% deposit and take as long as six months to pay the balance, then collect it when you are ready to propose.

Can lay-away be set up online?

Yes. Lay-away payments can be made by phone with our team or in person at our Oceanside showroom. Most clients call when they are ready to make a payment. We keep your account on file and process it in minutes.

Can I pay off a lay-away early?

Yes, and there is no penalty for doing so. Pay as quickly or as slowly as you like within the six month window. The moment your final payment clears, the piece is yours to take home.

What happens if I miss a lay-away payment?

Give us a call. Life happens, and we will work with you to adjust the schedule whenever possible. If a lay-away is abandoned entirely, the item returns to stock and any payments you have made convert to in-store credit, redeemable on a future purchase. You never lose what you have paid.

Can I lay-away a custom piece?

Pay 50% Deposit

A 50% deposit reserves your piece. We accept all major credit cards, debit cards, cash, or check. Your piece is removed from active inventory and held safely in our store from this moment forward.

Step 3

Pay the Balance Over Up to 6 Months

After your deposit, you have up to five additional months to pay off the remaining balance. Pay weekly, monthly, or whenever works for you — there is no fixed payment schedule. Most clients pay monthly to keep the rhythm easy.

Step 4 — Take It Home

Final Payment & Pickup

Once your final payment is made, the piece is yours. We professionally clean and inspect every lay-away piece before you walk out the door — and your purchase is covered by our complete SVS warranty just like any other sale.

Refund policy — Full refund within 10 days of opening the lay-away. After 10 days, in-store credit is issued for any payments made.

Storage — Your piece is held safely in our Oceanside showroom for the full duration of the lay-away.
