The Tort is the one MICHELE that doesn't look like the rest of the line. A tortoise acetate top ring sits over the 31mm rectangular gold-tone case — warm, patterned, and closer to eyewear than to jewelry in the way it catches light. Against a brown sunray dial with polished Roman numerals and a sub-second register, the whole watch reads autumnal in a way nothing else MICHELE builds does.
It comes on a chocolate brown leather band that picks up the tortoise directly. The case runs 34mm across and 31mm tall, and at $495 the specification is straightforward: K1 mineral crystal rather than sapphire, and a quartz three-hand movement with a sub-second hand. K1 is far tougher than acrylic and handles daily wear well. It will scratch where sapphire wouldn't.
The band is 16mm, which is the size we stock most deeply — black, glossy white, and chocolate brown croco-embossed leather at $100 each. Since this arrives on brown, the obvious second band is black for a colder, sharper version of the same watch, or glossy white to pull the tortoise forward. Swapping takes seconds and no tools, and any 16mm MICHELE band fits.
The band's inner circumference is 175mm, plus or minus 5mm. Circumference varies meaningfully across the MICHELE range and almost nobody publishes it comparably, which is why it's worth trying on rather than guessing at.
