What is the difference between a natural diamond and a lab grown diamond?

A natural diamond forms underground over millions of years. A lab grown diamond is produced in a controlled environment and shares the same chemical, physical and optical properties. Both are graded on the same criteria by independent laboratories. The practical differences are price and long-term value, which is worth talking through before you choose. Can I see a diamond in person before I buy it?

Yes. Any diamond in our search can be brought into our Oceanside showroom for you to view. Our gemologists will show you the stone under magnification alongside comparable options, so you can see the differences yourself rather than relying on a grading report alone. Book a diamond appointment and we will have stones ready when you arrive.

Are your diamonds certified?

Every loose diamond we sell is accompanied by an independent grading report. We also operate an AGS Accredited Gem Lab on site, and we have GIA Graduate Gemologists and an AGS Certified Gemologist Appraiser on staff who can walk you through what the report actually means for the stone in front of you.
