What is the difference between natural diamonds, lab-grown diamonds, and moissanite?
Natural diamonds are mined from the earth and hold long-term value — they are the only diamonds eligible for our Lifetime Diamond Upgrade Program. Lab-grown diamonds are chemically and optically identical to natural diamonds but created in a controlled environment, typically at a lower price point per carat. Moissanite is a separate gemstone that resembles a diamond visually but is a different mineral. All three are available in our Oceanside showroom and our GIA-trained bridal team can walk you through the differences side by side.
Can I design a custom engagement ring at SVS?
Yes. We offer two paths: our online Ring Builder lets you configure a ring from curated, expert-designed settings, and our in-house Forever Custom service designs one-of-a-kind pieces from sketch to finished ring in our Oceanside workshop. CAD design, 3D printing, and master craftsmanship all happen in-house. Bring an inspiration photo, a sketch, a stone, or an heirloom — we will work with you from concept to finished piece.

Every engagement ring purchased at SVS includes our Lifetime Nationwide Warranty — cleaning, inspection, prong tightening, and refinishing for life.
