A single round brilliant diamond at the center, with twelve pavé set diamonds cascading down the shank, larger near the head and tapering toward the back. The solitaire silhouette is what most people picture when they picture an engagement ring, and the pavé shank adds light along the finger without competing with the center stone.
Diamond prices step up sharply at exactly one carat. A well cut 0.90 carat round measures roughly two tenths of a millimeter smaller across the top than a 1.00 carat, a difference almost no one can see on a hand, and it prices well below the one carat mark. With the shank diamonds this ring totals 1.28 carats, so it reads larger than its center weight.
The center stone is a 0.90 carat natural round brilliant, F color and SI1 clarity, held in a four prong head. F sits in the colorless range, so the diamond faces up white in white gold with nothing to compensate for. It carries a Forevermark inscription and grading report, number FM-2216897.
The setting is Sylvie's Adorlee, in 14 karat white gold with a polished finish. Twelve round pavé diamonds total 0.38 carats, G to H color, SI clarity range.
Forevermark has wound down in the United States, so this is from the last of our stock. When these are gone, we will not be getting more.
