A full one and a half carat round brilliant, ringed twice and set on a split shank. A ring built to be seen from across a room.
The center stone is a 1.50 carat natural round brilliant with a GIA Excellent cut grade, Excellent polish, no fluorescence, H color and SI2 clarity, GIA report 1473375159, inscribed on the girdle. It measures 7.23 by 7.28 millimeters.
Cut is the grade that does the most work in a round diamond, and it is the one most often traded away to buy carat weight. Excellent is the top grade GIA issues, and it governs how much light the stone actually returns. H sits in the near-colorless range, which on a stone this size means it faces up white without paying the premium the top three color grades command. The trade-offs on this stone were made in the right places.
There is a reason we are giving you the grades rather than arguing with them. A report describes a diamond under controlled light at ten times magnification.
