A 0.72 carat round center inside a halo, with thirty-six smaller diamonds ringing it and running down the shoulders.
A halo does two things: it makes the center read larger than its weight, and it puts a line of light right at the edge of the stone so the center never looks isolated. At 0.72 carats with 0.21 carats around it, this one sits at just under a full carat total while wearing like more.
The center stone is a 0.72 carat natural round brilliant, D color, with Excellent polish, EGL report US 908936603D. D is the highest color grade there is, the top of the colorless range, and it is unusual to see at this size. Thirty-six round accent diamonds form the halo and shank, adding 0.21 carats, for 0.93 carats total.
Set in 14K white gold, currently size 6. If she wears a different size, we resize it the same day at our Oceanside workshop by Jorge T., our Master Bench Jeweler, and Oscar H., our Master Setter.
We have an AGS Accredited Gem Lab on site, so you can look at the center stone under magnification with a gemologist beside you before you decide — which is worth more on a halo ring than on most, because the halo is doing some of the work.
