A cushion cut diamond set alone on a polished 14 karat white gold band. No accents, no halo. The whole ring is built to put one stone forward and stay out of its way.
Cushion cuts have rounded corners and larger facets than a round brilliant, and they return light differently because of it. Less rapid white flash, more depth and broader flashes of fire. It is an older way of cutting a diamond and it reads that way on a hand, which is exactly why people who choose cushions choose them deliberately rather than settling into them.
The center stone is a 1.21 carat natural cushion modified brilliant, I color, SI2 clarity, with Excellent polish and no fluorescence, GIA report 1295006971, inscribed on the girdle. It measures 6.08 by 5.89 millimeters.
There is a reason we are giving you the grades rather than arguing with them. A grading report describes a diamond under controlled light at ten times magnification. It does not describe what a stone does on a hand across a table, and two diamonds with identical paper can look meaningfully different in person. A cushion this size is a stone to come and look at.
