The Sport Sail is the largest watch MICHELE makes in our showroom — a 38mm round case against the 23mm and 31mm rectangles that make up most of the line. It wears like a statement piece rather than a delicate one, and it's the MICHELE to pick if you've tried the Deco and found it too small.
The case is two-tone stainless steel, yellow gold and silver, with the brand's red cabochon crown. The dial is silver sunray with Roman numeral indexes and chronograph subdials, on a white silicone band that keeps the whole thing firmly in warm-weather, everyday territory rather than evening.
At $545 the specification is honest about where the money went: mineral crystal rather than sapphire, and a quartz chronograph movement. Mineral takes daily wear well and is far tougher than acrylic. It will scratch where sapphire wouldn't.
The band is 18mm — one of two sizes we stock, in black, white, and chocolate brown croco-embossed leather at $100. Move this watch from white silicone to brown leather and it stops being a summer watch. Any 18mm MICHELE band fits, no tools needed.
