Description:
A three stone ring in platinum, with pear shaped sides turned point-inward toward a round center. The eye reads one continuous line rather than three separate stones, which is the whole trick of setting pears this way.
Three stone rings buy you more visible ring per dollar than a single stone does, because side stones cost far less per carat than a center of the same quality. A 0.73 carat center flanked this way spans the finger like something considerably heavier. The traditional reading is past, present and future, and it is the reason this design has never really gone away.
There is a reason we are telling you the grades rather than leading with them. A grading report describes a diamond under controlled light at ten times magnification. It does not describe what the stone does on a hand in a restaurant. Two diamonds with identical paper can look meaningfully different across a counter, and the only way to know which one you have is to look at it. This one is worth looking at.
What is genuinely uncommon here is that all three diamonds are Forevermark and all three are separately inscribed. Most three stone rings pair one graded center with anonymous sides. The center is a 0.73 carat round, VS2 clarity, Very Good cut with Excellent polish and Excellent symmetry and negligible fluorescence, Forevermark report 020005097312, inscribed 1667996. The two pear sides are 0.19 carat each, VS2, inscribed 85577902 and 12593031, and the De Beers record for each confirms origin in Botswana, Canada, Namibia or South Africa. Total weight is 1.11 carats.
The mounting is platinum. Platinum holds its color for life rather than needing to be re-plated the way white gold does.
Forevermark has wound down in the United States, so this is from the last of our stock. When these are gone, we will not be getting more. A matched, fully inscribed three stone set is not something we will be able to replace.
Currently in size 6.5 and ready to propose with. If she wears a different size, we resize it the same day at our Oceanside workshop by Jorge T., our Master Bench Jeweler, and Oscar H., our Master Setter.
That is what the AGS Accredited Gem Lab at SVS is for. Bring the report, put the stone under the scope with a GIA Graduate Gemologist next to you, and compare it against something else in the same grade range. Deciding from a spec sheet on a screen is deciding with one eye closed.
Because the center stone is a natural diamond, this ring is eligible for the SVS Lifetime Diamond Upgrade Program — trade the center stone toward a larger or higher-quality natural diamond at any point. Every SVS engagement ring also includes our Lifetime Nationwide Warranty, honored at more than 145 retailers across 33 states.
Book a bridal appointment or call 516-766-2614 to see it on a hand before you decide.
