A Look Back: SVS & the Long Beach International Film Festival
In August 2018, SVS Fine Jewelry proudly served as presenting sponsor of the Long Beach International Film Festival (LBIFF) for the third consecutive year. Held each summer along the boardwalk in Long Beach, New York, LBIFF brings filmmakers, audiences, and our community together for four days of independent cinema, food, music, and ocean views — just a short drive from our Oceanside showroom.
Across those three years (2016 through 2018), SVS was honored to be part of an event that has become one of Long Island's signature summer celebrations. From the Red Carpet to Taste on The Beach to Chefs & Shorts, we joined LBIFF organizers, filmmakers, and Long Island neighbors in supporting the festival's mission of independent storytelling.
Giving Back to Our Community
Our sponsorship of LBIFF was part of SVS's broader commitment to giving back. A portion of festival proceeds during our sponsorship years benefited Cohen's Children's Medical Center — a Northwell Health hospital in New Hyde Park dedicated to caring for the children of Long Island and surrounding communities.
Supporting LBIFF aligned perfectly with the values that have guided SVS since 2003: showing up for Long Island, supporting the arts, and contributing to causes that matter to our neighbors. The friendships and connections we made during those festival years remain part of what makes SVS a locally rooted business.
