A 0.70 carat cushion-cut fancy yellow diamond, ringed in white and set in
two-tone gold.
Yellow diamonds are rare enough that most people have never seen one
outside a case. The color here is natural — no treatment — and GIA graded,
report 2175708671, with that number laser-inscribed on the girdle of the
stone itself.
The setting is built to make the color read. The center sits in yellow
gold, which deepens it, surrounded by twenty-four white round diamonds
totalling 0.47 carats set in white gold. That contrast is the whole design
— white against yellow makes the yellow look more yellow than it would in
a single-metal ring. Total weight is 1.17 carats in 18K, currently size
6.5.
The center is VS2 clarity and measures 4.65 by 4.64 millimeters — a square
cushion, so it reads round-ish rather than elongated on the hand.
Sizing is handled in house at our Oceanside workshop by Jorge T., our
Master Bench Jeweler, and Oscar H., our Master Setter.
Colored diamonds have to be seen. A photograph fixes the color under one
light; in person it shifts as the hand moves. We have an AGS Accredited
Gem Lab on site, so you can view it with a GIA Graduate Gemologist and
read the GIA report alongside the stone.
Because the center stone is a natural diamond, this ring is eligible for
the SVS Lifetime Diamond Upgrade Program. Every SVS engagement ring also
includes our Lifetime Nationwide Warranty.
