From Antwerp to American Bridal

Sylvie Levine was born and raised in Antwerp, Belgium — the center of the world's diamond trade for more than five hundred years. She is a third-generation diamond master, surrounded from childhood by the gemstones that would define her career, and she speaks five languages fluently. Her husband Ian Levine immigrated to the United States from South Africa in pursuit of the American Dream, and in 1987 founded Spectrum Diamonds — a New York-based jewelry manufacturer and diamond merchant that would, two decades later, become the backbone of the Sylvie brand.

Sylvie and Ian met in Tel Aviv, on opposite ends of the international diamond world. The relationship grew through transatlantic correspondence and eventually became both a marriage and a creative partnership. In 2007, they launched Sylvie Jewelry — built on Sylvie's design vision and Ian's diamond expertise, with one founding belief: that the women who wear engagement rings deserve a designer who actually thinks like them.

Today, Sylvie is headquartered in Dallas, Texas. The brand is run as a family business — with Sylvie and Ian's sons, Gary and Steve Levine, leading Business Development and Operations — and has become one of the most awarded designer bridal lines in America. Diamonds are hand-set — not machine-set — and Sylvie personally signs off on the design integrity of every new collection. Materials are equally considered: every diamond used in a Sylvie setting is conflict-free, sourced under the Kimberley Process. Settings are crafted in 14K gold, 18K gold, or platinum, in white, yellow, or rose tones — with two-tone combinations available across most collections.

Sylvie is also one of the most customizable designer brands in bridal. Modifications to the setting — different metal, alternate prong style, hidden diamond accents, custom shank widths, side stone swaps — are handled at the order stage by Sylvie's Texas studio, with our bridal team coordinating every detail. Every Sylvie ring at SVS comes with the brand's manufacturer's warranty against defects in materials and workmanship, valid for the lifetime of the piece through any authorized Sylvie retailer.
