The fine print — plainly stated

This guarantee applies to the natural diamond center stone only and excludes any mounting, setting, prongs, ring shank, post backings, or other jewelry component. Eligible original purchases include loose natural diamonds, natural diamond engagement rings (credit applies to the center stone only), and natural diamond studs. The trade-up credit is based solely on the original purchase price of the diamond itself and does not apply toward any setting, mounting, or labor. The diamond must be returned to SVS Fine Jewelry and accepted before your new diamond selection is confirmed. The diamond must be in its original condition — free of chips, scratches, or damage caused by misuse, modification, or unauthorized repair — and accompanied by its original grading report and/or SVS appraisal. The trade-up credit is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser. Diamond trade-up transactions are not eligible for additional discounts, promotions, or price match requests. SVS Fine Jewelry reserves the right to verify the condition and authenticity of any diamond presented for trade-up and to determine eligibility at its discretion. Valid on earth-mined natural diamonds only. Lab-grown diamonds, moissanite, diamond simulants, fashion jewelry, pendants, and necklaces are excluded.
